BRIEF
The frozen foods category in the US represents billions of dollars, with handheld entrées accounting for about $740 million in 2021. Bayou Boys Foods, a start-up, sought to enter the market with 2 SKUs, leaning hard into traditional Cajun flavors.
SOLUTION
Using cues from the Louisiana culture and cuisine, we created a brand personality that is casual, charming and engaging. Textures, symbols and typographic elements carry from the brandmark to packaging, point-of-sale and trade show banners.
IMPACT
In less than two years, they earned distribution in over 500 c-stores and retailers in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Texas. The Southern charm showed through as the packaging was also recognized with a GDUSA design award.
